So as to inherit the Chinese opera art and carry forward the brilliant Chinese traditional culture, Anqing Foreign Language School’s Primary Department positively continued to implement the ‘Opera into Campus’ campaign by carefully selecting more than 30 students to rehearse both Peking and traditional operas during the summer vacation.
From 8.30 to 11.30 A.M. every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, students received concentrated training from teachers Han Yong and Lu Yanan with Municipal Huangmei Opera Troupe.
To be specific, the two teachers guided students to portray characters with graceful and rich vocal music as well as various skills in art so that students could continually boost their artistic abilities in singing, reading, acting and fighting. In the meantime, students were supposed to improve their stage performance skills with courage, insight and confidence as well.
What’s more, the two advisers constantly strove for perfection to improve our little actors’ actions and expressions. Besides, children listened attentively and learned earnestly, showcasing professional actors’ demeanor. Other than that, both teachers and students in the grand performance strictly observed the discipline and participated in the drill without complaints.
Overall, Anqing Foreign Language School sincerely hope that by means of this exquisite event, the charm of traditional Chinese opera shall spread over the whole campus, enabling students to fall in love with opera and inherit the Chinese opera art.
